I was amazed by the beautiful arab style architecture of the hotel and its historical ambiance. The bergamot tree in the courtyard added a touch of tranquility. My room in the basement was spacious, with a comfortable bed and excellent heating. The hotel's location in the historic center allowed for easy exploration of the city's main attractions. Despite the chilly temperatures outside, the room remained warm thanks to the well-insulated stone walls. The owner, Mr. Murad, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, providing a heartfelt welcome at the bus station and offering a tour of the city at night. The breakfast served in the room, once a camel resting area, was a unique and enjoyable experience. I had a wonderful stay at Hanehan and would highly recommend it.
The only drawbacks were the lack of a clear sign indicating the hotel's location and the need to walk down a long, dark alley to return to the hotel after dark. Additionally, the hotel was not adequately prepared for the cold temperatures during my stay in January, despite providing an electric heater and extra duvets.

Stayed at a "charming" hotel with "spacious" rooms. Staff were "nice" and the location was "central". Loved the free breakfast and the rooftop terrace.
Just "loved" hearing the call for prayer at sunrise. So peaceful and relaxing.

This hotel offers a unique and historic atmosphere. the inner courtyard with a beautiful fountain adds to the ambiance of the entire place. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city, within walking distance to most of the attractions and bazaar. the owner is friendly and goes out of his way to help with anything guests need. Breakfast and dinner are served in the courtyard, creating a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
Some guests may find the walk back to the hotel down a long, dark alley a bit uncomfortable at night. a taxi driver affiliated with the hotel insisted on payment for the bill even after it was already paid with a credit card.

The hotel is located in the heart of the old city making it easy to walk around and visit the major sights and bazaar. We stayed during New Year and they had musical events in the courtyard that added to the atmosphere of the place. The staff was extremely helpful and the owner went out of his way to recommend a nearby restaurant, walked us there and helped in ordering the food. Money exchange is also available at the hotel.
Although the building had character, the rooms were not prepared for cold temperatures. We were given an electric heater and additional duvets but it was still freezing cold in the room.
